Concert Band Assessment (aka “Festival”)

On Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th, the Skyhawk Band will host the 2013 VBODA Region 3 Concert Band Assessments.? It is a great honor for our band to host this event at Bird High.? Over the two days, over 35 bands from around the region will perform for judges.? A Superior rating from the judges at this Assessment, coupled with a Superior rating for a school’s marching band in the Fall will mean Honor Band status for that band.? The Skyhawk Wind Symphony will seek the 15th Commonwealth of Virginia Honor Band status for the Bird High School Band program.
